Jacqueline Smith, Partner
Jacqueline joined Good & Murray Smith in 1980 and became a Partner in 1983.
Jacqueline has since established herself as a leading litigation practitioner in Ireland, having spent her entire career to date in the field of litigation. Jacqueline specialises in defending claims on behalf of Insurers and acts for most of the Irish Insurers and many Lloyds syndicates, as well as for local authorities, institutional clients and self insured companies.
In latter years, Jacqueline has developed a focus in defending high value claims arising from catastrophic injuries. She has particular expertise in handling and negotiating paraplegic, quadriplegic, brain damage and cerebral palsy cases and her experience in this area is virtually unrivalled in Ireland.
In addition, Jacqueline routinely handles motor liability, employer liability, public liability and product liability claims. She also advises Insurers regarding policy and indemnity disputes.
Jacqueline has lectured for major Insurers, institutional clients and self insured corporations on the topic of liability management and has been invited to tutor in the Law Society of Ireland.
